There is only one edition that this lovely gem is from, first.  Like I stated in the little blup next to this class, I would like a very good background for this one.  If you wish to play one, please have the rules (unearthed arcana), and I will send you a list of people who can support a cavalier.  As always, simply email me and ask.  I will also have a list of knightly orders that you can apply to if you wish to be a "church knight".  I am open to suggestions with a nice background.  I do not allow any ads or disads for this class, it is well enough as is.  Needless to say, you will be getting your warhorse for free.
